Computer Guided Occlusion

Computer Guided Occlusion is a comprehensive modular course on computerized occlusal analysis, soup to nuts. The program is taught 2 different ways:

(1) begining on Thursday late afternoon/early evening (times vary by location) with an optional session on T-Scan software operations. This is followed by a full day lecture on Friday where theory/principles/clinical cases are presented and a clinical demonstration session on Saturday.

(2) a slightly longer Friday program incorporating a 2 hour Hand-On Review of the software followed by the same lecture and a clinical demonstration on Saturday.

Each T-Scan user is encouraged to attend all sessions but not required. Registration is accepted per session. Note, space is limited for Part III, so we urge you to register as soon as possible.

Part I - T-Scan Software Review & Hands On Training

This session will guide you through each of the features in the T-Scan® program, including function and clinical relevance. At the end of this session, each attendee will be able to utilize the program and better understand the presented data in Parts II & III. We urge all attendees to bring your laptop with the program installed. This is course is designed for a new user of the technology, or clinicians considering implementing the system into their practice. This session can also be used as refresher training.

Part II - Lecture

The lecture is a full day comprehensive program. The morning includes a review of the science, research data, and integration of computerized occlusal technology into modern occlusal thought, for both NM and CR practitioners. T-Scan data will be correlated with articulating paper marks and emgs. Clinical cases will be reviewed to demonstrate time and relative force based analysis of tooth to tooth dynamics. Many clinical cases will be presented, demonstrating clinical applications for T-Scan use in creating balanced occlusion in cosmetic, pain management, prosthetic and implant cases.

T-Scan users will learn integration of computerized occlusal analysis into diagnosis and use during therapy. Advanced analysis techniques will be used to demonstrate the concepts presented. This course contains material useful to both new and experienced users.

Lecture - 7 hours CE credit

Tuition - $445

Part III - Clinical Demonstration

This session is a half day treatment of a patient, usually one of the doctors in the group. The concepts learned in the lecture will be demonstrated. The T-Scan and emg will be used in diagnosis of the case. T-Scan data will be correlated with articulating paper marks and used to guide creation of a balanced occlusion. The class is small and the format is loose, designed for open discussion and opportunities for learning from each other, as well as the case at hand.

T-Scan users will learn some tips for using the system with patients, sensitivity setting, data reliability assessment, and ways to use the system to learn the most about your patient. You will also learn how to use the T-Scan II to guide occlusal therapy to create a balanced precise occlusal pattern.

Class size will be limited to 8 participants. A second session will be held Saturday afternoon as necessary.

Clinical Demonstration - 3 hours CE credit

Tuition - $495
