SPAY & NEUTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE

We at the Mission Valley Animal Shelter are dedicated to the eradication of unwanted litters of kittens and puppies.  We have instituted some wonderful and innovative spay/neuter assistance programs available to fit the needs of all that reside in Lake and Sanders Counties in Montana.  Unfortunately, we see many unwanted litters and, despite the efforts of so many in our organization, many homeless animals are euthanized due to no fault of their own.  Our main focus these days is providing cost effective sterilization programs to avoid future litters being born to unwanted homes and to avoid euthanizing innocent animals.  The following programs have been instituted by our organization and have been quite effective:

Einstein Foundation Program for Cats only:

This program was instituted by a wonderful volunteer who rescued a cat--Einstein--from the local landfill.  This program is for low-income folks residing in Lake or Sanders Counties, Montana, who can't economically finance the cost of spay/neuter of their cats or stray cats who need to be altered.  There is an application which is available either through the mail or directly from our facility.  Proof of income is needed and the entire cost of the procedure is covered by our facility.  ABSOLUTELY FREE SPAY/NEUTER, could it get any easier than this.

Gold Certificate-free spay/neuter of all adopted animals:

For several years, we have instituted this "free spay/neuter with every pet adopted" program and have found that it is an incredible program that insures our animals aren't reproducing.  With every animal adopted, they are either sterilized prior to adoption or, if they are too young,  a "Gold Certificate" is issued.  When they are of age the adoptor takes the animal to any local veterinarian and the procedure is then performed and billed to our facility.  Wow, again a free spay/neuter.  How much more could you ask for?
